It seems the Vegas Golden Knights have made more enemies than friends lately.
After a disappointing year, Vegas had a chance to salvage it. With a win against the Blackhawks (who were underdogs at +170) on Wednesday night, the Golden Knights could’ve kept their playoff hopes alive. They could’ve ensured a shot at the NHL’s second season and went on their merry way.
The Blackhawks are awful. They’re one of the worst teams in the league, and it should’ve been a tap-in for Vegas.
Sometimes the road to failure is paved with good intentions.
With the shootout defeat to Chicago, the Golden Knights will officially miss the postseason for the first time in the franchise’s four-year history.
