The nominations for the 2026 Emmy Awards are in, and like every year prior, there’s multiple snubs and surprises from the latest batch of stars and series hoping to snatch a prize.
The full list of nominees vying for TV’s most prestigious award was revealed overnight. The Pitt leads the pack with 25 nods, followed by Hacks’ 24 noms and Widow’s Bay’s 19.
A bunch of familiar faces and titles appear in the major categories, but before we get into that, let’s take a look at the shows and stars that were royally snubbed ahead of the 2026 Emmys ceremony, which will air in September with host and SVU star Mariska Hargitay.
Who got snubbed from the 2026 Emmy Awards nominations?
Stranger Things
Though its last-ever season made plenty of noise upon its arrival late last year, former awards show darling Stranger Things walked away with zero nominations in the major 2026 Emmys categories. That means no nods for Outstanding Drama Series, and writing, directing or acting noms for stars like David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown.
Stranger Things did pick up a few nods in the less flashy technical categories, but for a hugely popular series in its final season, that’s a bonafide snub.
Heated Rivalry
A lot of horny TV fans (me) were probably anxiously awaiting a Heated Rivalry sweep this year, but I regret to inform you that the gay hockey romance that captured the zeitgeist received zero nominations… on a technicality. The show is a Canadian production, not an American one, which means it was simply not eligible by Emmys standards (mutiny!).
Lead star Connor Storrie did score his first-ever nomination for hosting Saturday Night Live, so at least there’s that?
Euphoria
Also angling for awards glory in its last season was Euphoria, which did land two acting nods for Zendaya and Colman Domingo but left the rest of its starry cast (including Jacob Elordi and Sharon Stone) for dust. Maybe Sam Levinson is finally paying for his crimes?
Bravo
The Emmys’ frustrating streak of shutting out Bravo shows from its reality TV categories (mostly) continued this year. Summer House, which lit up group chats with its dramatic season this year, got its first-ever nomination in the Unstructured Reality Program category.
The Bravo-verse also got a shout via Vanderpump Rules’ Ariana Madix, who is now an Emmy nominee for her hosting role on Love Island. That’s all well and good, but part of me fears we may never see The Real Housewives on the Emmys stage, despite them having thrown wine glasses and argued about hotel rooms for two decades now.
Jeremy Allen White
Longtime nominee Jeremy Allen White was unexpectedly absent from Lead Actor in a Comedy category, despite his role in The Bear being in contention for that prize for every past season. The “comedy” show did land a nom for Ayo Edebiri and for Outstanding Comedy Series, to which I offer a resounding, YES CHEF!
Those were the major snubs from the list of 2026 Emmys nominees, but you can get a full rundown of all the shows vying for a win in the major categories below.
