An expert has shared the best times to fill up with fuel in order to save money. Nigel King, from All Car Leasing, spoke about the best ways drivers can choose where to shop and save the most money on fuel costs.
It comes as RAC Fuel Watch data shows that diesel prices continue to fall, while petrol costs are beginning to stagnate. The Daily Express reports that supermarkets remain cheaper than other retailers, with the average cost of a litre of petrol at 140.57p, while diesel drivers will pay an average of 142.96p.
Mr King said: “Prices at fuel stations can vary throughout the day, meaning costs tend to rise during peak hours, which is actually midday and after work at around 5pm.
