Ducati's Panigale V4 and V4 S are so dominant in the superbike class that, since this iteration launched in 2024, I never once considered when it would be updated. But the Italian powerhouse is giving us more for 2027, and continuing to assert relentless dominance in the superbike category.
The 2027 Panigale V4 and V4 S both use the same 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine we love, but its breathing has been improved. The powerplant has a larger, higher-flow intake derived from the Panigale V4 R design and an updated exhaust, designed to improve efficiency. The lubrication circuit has also been recalibrated to reduce power loss, and the rev limit has been increased to 15,000 rpm in gears two through five. Finally, Ducati revised the gearing on both models, giving a taller final gear for better on-track performance; when tested around Valluenga, riders needed two fewer gear shifts per lap.
