KitchenAid make the best stand mixers in the world. For years we've tried to find something that can supplant them, but they simply make the best. These American-made stand mixers last for generations and make perfect bakes every time.
But appearing in our ranking of the best stand mixers three different times means serious quality, which in turn means a very expensive price tag. That's why Black Friday is the best time of year to shop KitchenAid.
However, four KitchenAid models – The Artisan, Classic, and Deluxe and Mini – all look pretty much identical. Here's everything you need to know on these mixers and the only deals worth considering.
Which KitchenAid is best?
A lot of these mixers look identical and have vague, similar names. A brief explainer:
- KitchenAid Artisan: the best stand mixer on the market.
- KitchenAid Pro Line Series: the best large stand mixer.
- KitchenAid Artisan Mini: the best mini stand mixer.
- KitchenAid Classic: older, worse, but cheaper Artisan

The best deals
These are the only deals to consider. They're almost all at KitcheAid themselves, because the deals on most KitchenAid stand mixers are identical everywhere. KitchenAid, however, have the widest range of colors and a free engraving service. The exception is the KitchenAid Classic: you're best off trying Walmart for one of those.
KitchenAid vs Cuisinart
But KitchenAid isn't the only game in town. There's lots of other quality stand mixers. If you don't like the cost of the KitchenAid Artisan, the next best thing is the Cuisinart Precision. It's always cheaper, and while it feels and looks a little flimsy, it actually makes slightly better bread than the Artisan - don't tell anyone.
KitchenAid FAQs
Are KitchenAid made in America?
Yes - sort of. The Artisan is still built in Greenville, Ohio and is made from almost 100% American parts, with the exception of the mixing bowl, which is made abroad.
Hoe long will KitchenAid deals last?
Last year, KitchenAid deals ran right up to Christmas, and for a couple days after. However, we found that stock on the most popular colors, like Empire Red, quickly ran down.
Final thoughts
These aren't the only deals worth considering. There are plenty of other contenders for the best stand mixer, which is to say nothing of all the other Black Friday home deals running right now.
