With summer in full swing, it's time to pull out all of your warm-weather favorites, from flowy dresses to futuristic sunglasses. Jewelry stands on its own, however, when it comes to pieces that can truly make or break your outfit. With beach days and vacations ahead, it's not surprising to see that one of jewelry's biggest trends is sea-inspired jewelry.
Spring 2024's most powerful runways boasted a host of ocean-inspired jewelry, from Schiaparelli's 3-D crab necklaces to Collina Strada's starfish chokers. Other brands soon followed suit with luxury and affordable labels like Oscar de la Renta, Kendra Scott, J.Crew and Zara including statement shell jewelry in their seasonal offerings. Last year's mermaidcore trend served as a precursor to society's current obsession with sea-inspired accessories with stars like Halle Bailey and Blake Lively showing their approval.
