The Irn-Bru Carnival is returning to the SEC this festive season and there is no shortage of fun to be had with a huge array of rides, stalls and games on offer at the massive indoor funfair.
With over 65 rides and attractions, this month-long event has something for everyone with fun for the whole family.
Running between Friday, December 23 and Sunday, January 15, the carnival, which is one of Scotland’s longest-running shows, has been part of Glasgow's festive programme for over a century, with generations of Glaswegians enjoying the classic stalls like hook-a-duck and the dodgems alongside the latest thrill rides.

With that in mind, we asked the team behind the Carnival to tell us what some of the unmissable rides are at this year's event:
The Starflyer
What they said: "The Carnival’s outside ride for this year, the Starflyer is not for the faint-hearted. Ascending up to 40 metres high, you are strapped into a swing-style chair and spun around as the carousel rotates.
"Enjoy the bird’s eye views of Glasgow and the Clydeside while feeling the adrenaline flow. Don’t forget to wrap up warm for this ride, it might be a bit chilly up high."
The Sticky Wall
What they said: "One of the most popular attractions at the Carnival, the Sticky Wall or Rotor to give it its 'true' name, uses centrifugal force to pin thrill seekers to the wall as they lie completely flat. This ride makes a regular appearance at the annual fun fair and is always on the hit list for thrill seekers."
Waltzers
What they said: "Who doesn’t love the Waltzers? This retro ride has been entertaining funfair goers around the world for decades and it’s an absolute must-ride at this year’s Carnival.
"Get involved with your friends or family, and prepare for a ride of pure thrill and delight as the cars spin at speed while bouncing up and down. You’ll find this ride easily – just listen for the screams of thrill and laughter and they’ll lead you right to it."
Void
What they said: "You wouldn’t be a thrill seeker if you didn’t crave the upside-down sensation of some Carnival rides. Void is the only ride that gives a 360-degree range of motion! Legs dangling, hair swinging, this spinning ride has to be on the list."
Viva Mexico
What they said: "For a heart-dropping floor-sky-to-floor feeling, Viva Mexico is the one. Belted onto a panel, this ride whirls you around in a circle at speed, again and again, and again.
Police Station Fun House
What they said: "If the family need a break from being upside down, give the Police Station Fun House a try. This three-floor ride is packed full of mini adventures for younger visitors.
"From sliding down poles to making your way through giant loops and hoops, this ride is the perfect choice for the whole family."
Frozen Family Coaster
What they said: "For a more family-friendly ride, and one that’s perfect for younger visitors, check out the Frozen Family Coaster.
"This gentle but exciting traditional rollercoaster is based on all your favourite Frozen characters including Olaf who leads the way around the tracks with plenty of loops and dips to make the whole family smile."
