The best places you can still book to stay in Wales for February 2023 half term

As the dark nights of January continue it can feel like the Christmas break is just a long-lost memory as the back-to-school and work routine resumes. However, February half term is just around the corner and there are plenty of staycation locations you can enjoy in Wales.

In Wales February half term will take place from Monday, February 20 to Friday, February 24 and if you are looking for a getaway in Wales you will be spoilt for choice.

Hilton Garden Inn

Enjoy a February half-term break in Snowdonia this year at the contemporary Hilton Garden Inn, located next to the innovative Adventure Parc. The hotel has 106 bedrooms with big views on all sides, a destination restaurant and bar, and a guest-exclusive fitness centre.

Right next to the hotel is the Adventure Parc where you can learn to surf on their incredible in-land surf lagoon that provides clean, consistent breaks using recycled rainwater. Glamavan at Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm

You can enjoy a unique stay at a working Welsh farm this February half term. Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm is a is a working farm set in beautiful west Wales where just a short drive will take you to the dramatic coast of Cardigan Bay with its magnificent sandy beaches, the coastal path and bottlenose dolphins.

Enjoy a stay that is more glamorous than camping but still close to nature in the Glamavan. The Glamavan is a very fun retro-chic vintage-style static caravan which sleeps up to five with a double bedroom and twin bedroom. A fully fitted kitchen fulfils all your culinary needs – a gas cooker with an eye-level grill, toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge with a small ice box.

There is a shower and toilet in the bathroom. For entertainment there are games, Wifi, a smart TV with DVD player and a Robert's Radio. A BBQ and outdoor furniture is in the private established garden. When it gets chilly there are electric radiators and a heated towel rail.

This family-friendly holiday spot in Porthcawl is definitely one that the kids (and big kids) will enjoy. There's on-site entertainment, such as an indoor pool, and a Blue Flag beach just a stone's throw away.

The accommodation includes caravans and lodges and for four nights over the February half term, Monday, February 20 to Friday, February 24, you can book the Marcross 2-Bed Lodge that sleeps two adults and two children. The lodge comes with a gas cooker, microwave, central heating, a washer dryer and a flat-screen TV with Freeview.

The Deckhouse

Located perfectly in the heart of the gorgeous seaside town of Tenby is Starfish Apartment. This apartment building features free parking. The apartment provides a kitchen with a fridge, an oven, a stovetop and a microwave.

For a bit of entertainment, guests will find a Smart TV with cable channels, and other amenities including free WiFi and a separate bath and shower. There is one double room and one room with a single bunk bed and a single bed.

Lauriston & Lawton Court Hotel

Facing the beachfront, Lauriston & Lawton Court Hotel offers 4-star accommodation in Llandudno and has a shared lounge, terrace and bar. Llandudno North Shore Beach is 50 yards from the hotel, while Llandudno West Shore Beach is 1.6 miles from the property.

You can book the Family Room with Sea View, which includes breakfast where you can pick from an à la carte, full English/Irish or vegetarian options, for two adults and two children for £636 for Monday, February 20 to Friday, February 24. Located in Tregaron is the gorgeous stone house The Mill. On the ground floor there is an open plan living space which has a living, dining and kitchen area, two bedrooms and is packed with everything you might need.

The Cambrian Mountains are one of the few remote areas left in southern Britain, and Tregaron lies close to this open wilderness. The beautiful Ceredigion coastline can be reached within a 30-minute drive and offers lovely beaches (many dog-friendly all year round), and interesting towns and villages to visit.
