One of the best parts of summer has to be the long evenings and dreamy sunsets, so if you're looking to make the most of the lighter days, you might be wanting to soak up as many sunsets as possible. And the South Wales valleys is brimming with spots that you can enjoy.
From sandy beaches to hillsides. Quirky beer gardens to castles. There truly is something for everyone.
We've been taking note recently of the amazing locations where you can get the best viewpoints. And we've spotted loads of incredible sunset spots that have been shared by people on social media. Here's just a few places you might want to add to your bucket list this summer....

Caerphilly Mountain
Caerphilly Mountain offers a 360 degree views of the area, and Cardiff, making it the perfect place to watch the sun go down.
Parc Penallta
Parc Penallta is a wonderful place for a walk with a view, or some time out amongst nature. And there are plenty of quiet spots where you can enjoy a moment to take in your sorroundings, and the sun in the sky. It also has marked trails though woodlands and grasses, with streams, wetland boardwalks, marshland, a fishing lake and ponds along the way.
The Black Mountains
The Black Mountains lie between the towns of Abergavenny, Crickhowell, Talgarth and Hay-on-Wye. The peaks reach across England and Wales, spreading along the Welsh counties of Powys and Monmouthshire and through to Herefordshire and the English border.
They are also an incredible place to watch the sun go down, as one Twitter user recently found.
Sunsets over Newtown
Newtown is surrounded by gorgeous scenery. So it doesn't take you long to breathe fresh air and gain some perspective by taking a short hike up to look down at the town below.
One person on Twitter even stopped their car to get a picture of the stunning valleys on their way back from Pembrokeshire.
Blaenavon
Looking down at the tiny wind farm in Blaenavon at sunset really shows the magnitude of the hills surrounding the area, and the beauty that is in the landscape.
Rhigos Viewpoint
Rhigos Viewpoint is a stunning spot with views right over the Vale of Neath and the Cynon Valley. If you head along the road and you will soon come to the Coed Morgannwg Way. You can follow this waymarked footpath west above the twin lakes of Llyn Fawr and Llyn Fach and find views down to two pretty lakes and some nice woodland trails through the surrounding forest. Perfect for an evening of sunset chasing.
