August is traditionally a fallow month in the world of London restaurants. Chefs post photographs from Puglia, half the city disappears and, frankly, this year it was too hot for anyone to do much besides nurse something cold in front of a fan at home.
September is when everybody comes home and, apparently having learnt nothing about diary management, opens a restaurant at once.
