The best LGBT bars and nights out in Dublin

Dublin's LGBTQ+ scene has come on in leaps and bounds in the past decade with a plethora of colourful parties and venues to go to for the city's vibrant queer community.

From drag shows to techno nights to the best in pop icons, there is plenty for Dublin's LGBTQ+ community and their allies to get up to at the weekends in the city.

Here are the seven best LGBTQ+ nights in Dublin.

The George

Whether it's Davina's Thirsty Thursday, Saturgay Karaoke or Veda's witchy Wednesday nights, The George has been at the centre of Dublin's LGBTQ+ nightlife scene for decades now.

You can always expect a wonderful atmosphere, lovely cocktails, fantastic pop music and fabulous drag performances.

Street 66

Street 66 was named among the best LGBTQ+ bars in the UK and Ireland and anyone who frequents there will tell you why.

Rarely do you walk into an establishment that has so excellently crafted a welcoming atmosphere like this, an experience that is just added to with the music from gay pop icons, funky furniture and decor and even board games. Oh, and it's dog friendly.

Panti Bar and Pennylane

Panti Bliss stands as an Irish LGBTQ+ icon. As well as advocating for HIV awareness in Ireland and LGBTQ+ rights and representation in general, she is also the proud owner of two fabulous queer bars, Panti Bar and Pennylane across the way.

Panti Bar is another venue with a lovely welcoming atmosphere as well as great drinks and super friendly staff.

Meanwhile, Pennylane is a chic gin bar that is suited to a more relaxed tipple.

Mother Dublin

As well as hosting the epic annual Pride Block Party at Collins Barracks, Mother Dublin regularly puts on nights in Lost Lane on Grafton Street.

This is a night for people who love to dance and enjoy local DJ talent.

Honey Pot Club

Honey Pot Club is a brand new club night for LGBTQ+ women and their friends. News of their first party is to be announced soon, so it's worth keeping n eye on their social media pages.

Delicious Dublin

Taking place on the first Saturday of every month in The Grand Social, Delicious Dublin brings the city's LGBTQ+ nightlife lovers tunes late into the night from talented DJs as well as occasional drink deals.

Queer Mania

Launched at the beginning of 2022, Queer Mania aims to highlight the best in Irish LGBTQ+ talent from comedy to drag to music and much more.

Taking place every few weeks in Dublin, tickets tend to be vert reasonably priced with packed line-ups of acts at each of the events.

Strawberries Dublin

Strawberries is an electronic dance night for LGBTQ+ people and their friends which takes place every few weeks in Dublin.

Taking place at The Sound House, the night always features fantastic DJs and plenty of dancing.
