Hearth + Tine at Bottle and Rye
Hearth and Tine is an Irish-led food concept from the mind of Lawrence Barrow. This summer, it’s taken residency at Robin Gill’s Tap and Bottle, Brixton. The dishes are light and seasonal, with flavours including cured sea bream with elderflower, oysters Rockefeller, smoked cod's roe with potato bread and mackerel with summer tomatoes all present in a small but well-formed menu.

Naz Hassan at Carousel
After his July dinners at The Sea The Sea, Naz Hassan heads to Carousel for his latest short residency. Tickets look scant, with only a handful remaining, but the eight-course menu (at £65-a-head) includes the likes of a stuffed courgette flower with paneer bhurji and beef nihari (a kind of stew) with roti and pickles. This level of creative Indian food doesn’t come around often, so it’s one not to miss.

Anya Hindmarch Ice Cream Shop
Perello olives were something of a zeitgeist food product last year, but apparently Londoners needed a little more. Anya Hindmarch’s Belgravia café flogs a tin of biscuits for £45, but the summer ice cream shop has always been a more reasonable offering, with scoops for £4.50. There is, of course, a briny olive-flavoured ice cream, but also expect Branston Piccalilli, Sarson’s Vinegar, Heinz Baked Beans and Filipo Berrio Pesto flavours, alongside McVitie’s Penguin biscuits and Bird’s custard.
Until August 18, 11 Pont Street, SW1X 9EH, anyahindmarch.com

Rahel Stephanie at Carousel
Rahel Stephanie has gone from strength to strength over the past two years, and her legendary supper clubs are a must for food lovers in London. Spoons was once a fully plant-based endeavour, but lately the supper clubs have expanded to include a handful of meaty dishes. No hardship as Stephanie’s August Carousel residency menu is set to include marinated beef ribs, gizzard skewers and a mackerel sambal matah.
