The support of Joseph Ossai from his Cincinnati Bengals teammates after his awful, costly late hit penalty has been wonderful to see (although Germaine Pratt wasn’t pleased right after the team’s AFC title game loss to the Kansas City Chiefs).
Defensive tackle B.J. Hill stood right next to a tearful Ossai, who stood in front of reporters and answered many questions about the penalty, the hardest thing to do after making a mistake. And Hill interjected a few times to defend Ossai, as you’ll see in the video below.
It’s an great gesture and proof that the Bengals aren’t going to lean on that one mistake as what cost them a second straight Super Bowl berth:
