The initial winners of the show, who spent weeks battling it out in the world’s toughest job interview, were competing for a £100,000 a year job for one of his many companies.
But after a particularly awkward situation with one winner in 2010, which resulted in an unsuccessful attempt to sue Lord Sugar for wrongful dismissal, the goal posts were shifted.
