The Apprentice returned to our screens on Thursday evening, but a story from a previous series stole the show on The Apprentice: You're Fired.
As comedian Tom Allen hosted the spin-off show, he was joined by 2022 winner Harpreet Kaur, but instead of talking about the first episode of the new series, he quickly honed in on her newfound relationship.
Spotting Harpreet's former co-star Akshay Thakrar in the audience, he began talking to him and hinted he was in attendance for reasons more so than just being a former contestant.
Tom said: "Akshay, you were a candidate in last year's process, but there's also another reason you're here, isn't there?"
As Askshay smirked, Tom quickly turned to Harpreet and bellowed: "Isn't that right, Harpreet?"
As the audience chuckled at his demeanour, Karen Brady sitting alongside Harpreet said: "Oh, yeah," before the previous winner admitted: "Well, since the show and in the past few months, you know, something has blossomed between us."
She appeared a little embarrassed and smitten while the questioning continued with Tom joking: "Is it a £250,000 investment?"
As Karen jokingly criticised Tom for being nosey, he continued to dig deeper after quoting Rihanna, saying: "You literally found love in a hopeless place."
Feeling like more interrogation was to come her way, Harpreet commented: "I feel like you're waiting for more juicy details, aren't you?," leading to an excited Tom asking her to "tell us everything".
When she was questioned on the pair's behaviour during the filming of the show, she denied there was any flirting between them, insisting they were fully focused on the competition.
"There was literally absolutely nothing going on at the house," she claimed. "And I think just going through the process, coming out of it, we built a friendship and it kind of went from there."
Akshay then joined in to confirm his partner's comments, admitting: "Me and Harpreet barely spoke on the show because we never worked on the same team.
"And even while the show aired, we hardly spoke. It was only after I was like, 'let's grab dinner'."
With a smile on his face, he then gushed at how the pair simply "connected" after their meet-up as things continue to go from strength to strength.
Harpreet secured the £250,000 for her business on the show and gained a business partner out of Lord Sugar too as she stormed to victory.
The pair joined forces as Lord Sugar decided it was her sweet business called Oh So Yum! he was ready to invest in.
The dessert parlour, available in store and online, offers a range of baked goods and sweets.
