The Apprentice star, Sian Gabbidon, opened up about life inside the shared house that contestants live in during filming, including the hectic mornings that require a quick turnaround.
The fashion designer from Leeds, 30, won the 14th series of the BBC reality show in 2018, becoming business partners with Lord Sugar and bagging £250,000 investment into her swimwear company.
Since then, she’s transformed the brand into a lounge wear range, renaming it SNME The Label. The brand’s customers include reality stars Molly-Mae Hague, Maura Higgins and Chloe Sims, as well as actress Michelle Keegan, and has 62.2k followers on Instagram.
Speaking to the Sun, Sian revealed that not only do the entrepreneurs battle to secure Lord Sugar’s investment while on the show, they also fight over daily showers.
While on the show, all of the contestants live together in one big house for the duration of the series, but aren’t given much time on a morning between waking up and getting out of the door.
She said: "It's a good time if you've got five minutes because you'd have that many people in the house, what 15 of you, if they had you'd be like...
"Okay, well, I'm gonna jump in the shower, do my make-up, do my hair, especially for girls and I've got Afro hair, I needed to try and straighten my hair, literally do something in five minutes," she said.
"You literally didn't get that much time and that was a genuine get ready, jump in the shower, do your make-up and get downstairs and be ready to leave the door."
She also spoke about the 4am wakeup call the contestants received each week, and the deciding factor behind which person was picked to answer it.
Sian said the voice on the other end of the line was just “generic”, and that as soon as the phone rings, it’s a case of who gets there first to answer it.
She said: "I think I answered it and I didn't particularly want to because I didn't want to look like I'd just got out of bed!"
