The amount Arsenal will look for in Kieran Tierney transfer

The amount of money Arsenal will seek to recoup in the sale of Kieran Tierney this summer has been revealed, according to a report.

And if it's accurate, then the Premier League giants could be set to make a huge loss on the Scotland international.

The Gunners forked out a whopping £25m for the left-back from Celtic in 2019.

After three enjoyable years at The Emirates though, the 27-year-old fell out of the picture under Mikel Arteta and was farmed out on loan to Real Sociedad in Spain.

He made 20 appearances for the La Liga club, but has already announced his intentions to play elsewhere in the coming season.

The Sunday Post reports that Arsenal will listen to offers of around £10m this summer.

That's well under half of what was paid to Celtic five years ago.

It's believed Brendan Rodgers will go after a new left-back this summer as he looks to bolster his squad. The Northern Irishman wants competition for Greg Taylor.

And there have naturally been rumours that Tierney could be in line for a sensational return to Glasgow.

That said, Newcastle United and Aston Villa are believed to be interested in the left-back, who will still see his future in the Premier League, or one of Europe's other top five divisions.

Tierney jetted off to Germany this morning with his Scotland teammates as they get ready to do battle against the hosts next Friday to commence Euro 2024.

A good showing at the major competition could prove beneficial for Tierney and his immediate future when it comes to the return of club football in August.

Meanwhile, Kyogo Furuhashi revealed he has no intention of returning to Japan now after the Celtic hero was linked with a shock return to his homeland with Urawa Red Diamonds.

The 29-year-old was back in Japan as a special guest for his old club FC Gifu's J3 League clash with Azul Claro Numazu this weekend.
