Cleaning enthusiasts have been sharing the best ways that can help you to banish black mould from your home - and one trick will cost you as little as 95p.
Harmful black mould can grow on anywhere that attracts moisture, including windows, walls, sealant, which can become dangerous if it begins to spread when left untreated. And, surprisingly, there is quite an affordable method that can help help you to banish those dangerous and unsightly looking marks from your home, according to Mrs Hinch fans on Facebook.
One homeowner took to the Cleaning Tips and Tricks Facebook group to ask for help after she was struggling to remove black mould that was beginning to spread throughout her home.
She wrote: "Literally have loads of mould in my house, that has now gone black!! … and spreading , it's all on the window seals too. I'm waiting for repairs to come do the house etc but it's taking so long!!
" even won a court case in a claim. What's the best stuff to get rid of it while I wait for repairs THANK YOU!"
Her post was then inundated with responses from helpful members, with several mentioning a bottle of mould spray that can be purchased from some of the countries biggest retailers.
One person said: "Astonish mildew and mould spray its brilliant its 99p in B+M Asda and Home Bargains. I use it all time in showers great for grout in showers to. Spray on leave half an hour then rinse off."
A second agreed: "Astonish mould and mildew cleaner is the best one to get rid of mould, be careful of the fumes though"
The popular cleaning brand is popular with Mrs Hinch cleaning fans and their Mould and Mildew Blaster is said to be able to clean away stains within minutes, and it is currently available for just 95p from Wilko.
Homeowners are recommended to spray the blaster straight onto the affected areas, before waiting for five minutes and rinsing clean. However, some fans on the cleaning group have recommended leaving the spray on overnight before cleaning off with a sponge.
Meanwhile, many other fans also recommended picking up a pricier option with the HG Mould Remover which can be bought for £5.40 from B&Q, or £5.25 from Tesco. Another alternative is to leave cotton wall balls soaked in bleach on the affected areas overnight, before adequately ventilating the next day.
Another simple tip that many recommended was to pick up a couple of cheap dehumidifiers to help get rid of any excess moisture that could be causing the black mould build-up in the home.
