Crystal Palace have nine fixtures left to play before the 2022 World Cup in Qatar kicks off in November.
The Eagles have had a steady start to the 2022/23 season but one win and three draws from their opening six games leaves them in the bottom half of the Premier League standings. Patrick Vieira’s side are currently 15 th in the table, just two points above the relegation zone.
In light of the tragic news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Sunday’s Premier League clash against Manchester United at Selhurst Park was postponed along with the rest of the weekend’s Premier League action as a mark of respect to Her Majesty. Next Saturday’s clash at Brighton had also been called off due to planned rail strikes, which have since been called off.

However, with The Queen’s funeral possibly taking place next weekend, there is a chance that Brighton vs Palace will remain postponed. This leaves the Premier League with the difficult task of trying to rearrange new dates for two of Palace’s fixtures, in what is already a hectic schedule before the World Cup.
The Premier League will be put on hold after November 12 and will not return until Boxing Day, with Palace scheduled to face Fulham at Selhurst Park. Before the break, the Eagles will have nine fixtures to fulfil, including a Carabao Cup third round clash at Newcastle United.
Here is a list of the nine matches Crystal Palace have scheduled to play before the season is paused for around six weeks in mid-November due to the World Cup:
