Newcastle United fans are daring to dream after January signing Bruno Guimaraes scored his first goal for Brazil in empathic style. The former Lyon playmaker notched a goal and assist as the Selecao thrashed Bolivia in their World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night.
A brace from Everton forward Richarlison sealed a 4-0 victory for Tite's side, with Guimaraes setting up former club team-mate Lucas Paqueta before the attacker returned the favour in the 66th minute. The 24-year-old chipped the ball into the area on the turn, before Newcastle's number 39 confidently found the top corner with a first-time volley.
It is Guimaraes' second impressive strike in a month, with the midfielder opening his black-and-white account in memorable style in the 2-1 victory at Southampton. The Toon midfielder's improvised backheel volley has been nominated for the Premier League's goal of the month award for March.
