The 5 Nottinghamshire areas currently worst affected by Covid cases

North Nottinghamshire is dominating the list of the county's worst Covid affected areas as some towns see a significant jump in cases. The most recent data shows that cases in the centre of Sutton in Ashfield have gone up by 47 in a week, the highest rise in Nottinghamshire.

It comes as two vaccination centres in the county are due to close their doors for the final time on December 30. The local NHS team says that thousands of people have been vaccinated at the Ashfield Health Village and Haydn Road Vaccination Centre, but that the programme is now "moving towards vaccinating people in areas of low uptake."

Government data has continued to be updated, though the next update on cases will now not be until January 5. Below are Nottinghamshire's five worst covid affected areas in terms of cases per 100,000 people, with all data being for the seven days up to December 17.
