The 33rd Team podcast, hosted by Steve Palazzolo and Sam Monson gave us their full opinion on the first performance of the season from Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson.
There isn’t one player on the Cleveland offense who is proud of the way they played yesterday, and Deshaun Watson is taking most of the blame from the national media. Palazzolo states:
“He hasn’t made the same special plays in Cleveland that he made in Houston, and there is no rhythm to this offense.”

Ever since Nick Chubb suffered his devastating knee injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2023, the rhythm has been lost. The hope for Deshaun Watson to fill the identity of this offense is fading fast.
The hosts gave some benefit to Watson due to the very strong Dallas pass rush and the horrible play by the offensive line. With over 17 quarterback hits allowed on their starting quarterback, the team is now hopeful to have both Jedrick Wills and Jack Conklin back for their trip to Jacksonville.
We’ll see if the return of their offensive tackles will make a difference to Watson’s play this Sunday for the Browns’ second game of the 2024 season.
