West Ham United will see 19 of their players head off to represent their countries in this month’s international break.
Sunday sees the final sets of club matches take place before the first international break of 2023 takes place. Of the club’s 19 owned players heading out to represent their countries, ten are members of the first-team squad, seven players are in the academy and two more are currently out on loan.
Among the matches taking place are qualification matches for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Under-19s European Championships and Under-17s European Championships, as well as the start of qualification for the 2024 European Championships. There are also a number of international friendlies being held.

Of David Moyes’ Hammers senior squad, captain Declan Rice (England), goalkeeper Alphonse Areola (France), defenders Ben Johnson (England Under-21s), Vladimir Coufal (Czech Republic), Thilo Kehrer (Germany), Emerson (Italy) and Nayef Aguerd (Morocco), midfielders Lucas Paqueta (Brazil), Tomas Soucek (Czech Republic) and striker Gianluca Scamacca (Italy) will all be on duty.
In the academy, strikers Divin Mubama (England Under-19s), Callum Marshall (Northern Ireland Under-19s), winger Armstrong Okoflex (Republic of Ireland Under-21s), defenders Ollie Scarles (England Under-18s), Josh Briggs (Northern Ireland Under-17s) and goalkeepers Krisztian Hegyi (Hungary) and Finlay Herrick (England Under-17s) will get chances for international minutes.
Forward Nikola Vlasic (Croatia) and left-back Arthur Masuaku (Democratic Republic of Congo), currently out on loan with Torino and Besiktas respectively, will also be on international duty.
In total, West Ham’s players could be involved in as many as 34 games during the international break. Here is the full list of games, who is involved in which and when they take place.
