Gird your loins! This year’s Met Gala dress code has been announced, giving guests some added guidance on how to dress for the event and onlookers a clue as to what to expect on the red carpet. Or at least... That’s what it’s supposed to do.
The theme of this year’s exhibition, Costume Art, was announced in December. Curator Andrew Bolton described it as dedicated to “the centrality of the dressed body in the museum’s vast collection.”
