It's the world's fastest-growing photography site, and we find that it has a great balance between news, reviews, tutorials and inspiration (plus some excellent TikTok videos and a new podcast series).
As a former staff writer for DCW, I can confirm that a lot of hard work goes into pitching content for the site, and it aims to be genuinely helpful to readers, too, no matter the skill level, and aims to cover every aspect of image-making.
There are thorough reviews and buying guides to help you choose the best kit suitable for your budget, from the latest mirrorless cameras to drones and accessories. 03. SheClicks

SheClicks is more of an online community than a dedicated source for industry news; however, I've never felt more welcome or accepted in a photographic space than I have here.
The community was founded by Angela Nicholson - a freelance photographer and former Technical Editor for Amateur Photographer, as well as former Director of Camera Jabber, and she also has bylines as head of Testing for Future Publishing's entire photography portfolio too.
SheClicks is a safe space for female photographers to come together online and through organised meetups. Women are encouraged to ask questions and support each other with a dedicated Facebook group offering advice and critique. SheClicks also has monthly themed competitions and hosts an interview-style podcast series championing influential women from the photographic industry.
04. Aperture

Established in 1952, Aperture is a nonprofit publisher that aims to pioneer meaningful conversation surrounding the photographic sphere. Its digital presence showcases inspiring stories from the industry, with interviews, cultural analysis, and photographer spotlights to inspire.

You start out as a Newbie, and the aim is to gradually increase your ranking to a Master by winning image competitions, and then finally achieving the ultimate status of becoming a Guru.
Let me tell you, I have wasted hours on this app entering my images into competitions against millions of other photographers, and it should be taken with a pinch of salt. If anything, GuruShots is best used for inspirational purposes and isn't a true reflection of your photographic talent.
08. Fstoppers

Starting out in 2010 as an online community aimed at educating and inspiring photographers, Fstoppers has since grown into a large photography resource that's packed with news, opinion pieces and tutorials.
