With the weather getting colder and energy bills still soaring, many of us have been looking for more affordable ways to keep warm without turning on the central heating.
From electric blankets to portable radiators, households are willing to do anything to beat the chill without being hit with a massive heating bill at the end of the month. And now there is a USB heated blanket that has caught the eye of cash-strapped shoppers looking to keep warm without turning on the heating. What's even better, is that it is said to cost less than £1.36 an hour to run, reports The Mirror.
The energy-saving heated blanket is currently available on Wowcher, where it is on sale in a couple of sizes. Instead of the original £49.99, shoppers can snap a small for £15.99, or a large for £29.99.
Available in grey, blue or brown, the blanket also comes with a concealed buckle design, meaning it can be wrapped around your shoulders or legs like a shawl or cardigan.
It has a 5V low voltage which is powered by a power bank with a temperature range of 40-45 degrees to keep you nice and toasty while working from home, or cosying up on the couch.
Wowcher states that the power bank is not included, however the power pouch can be charged via the included USB cable charger which can be plugged into a USB port.
As well as in the house, you can also use the blanket in your car for those frosty mornings, take it to the office to make your colleagues jealous or use it to warm yourself up in bed.
You can choose a blue, grey or brown blanket and it’s available in two sizes; small (45cm x 80cm) and large (100cm x 70cm).
The blanket not only keeps you warm, but it can help soothe aches and pains in your shoulder or back area. It's especially good to use after a workout session when your muscles are feeling a little sore.
You can shop the deal on the Wowcher website, but you might want to be quick, as the online retailer has said that the heated blanket is currently selling fast.
