The best zombie games is a sub-genre that holds a special place in my heart, so it's a list that I'm constantly tweaking as more gems get released every year. Unlike the undead who feature in many of the titles listed below, the gaming industry keeps on releasing new games centered around decaying foes and I make a point to play them all.
That means that this list gives you the most up-to-date opinion on the best zombie games to play in 2026. I've drawn from our collection of the best horror games, highlighting the likes of Resident Evil's bioengineered fiends, to recent standouts like Techland's most recent Dying Light entry. Basically, fresh titles along with classics that still hold up 20 years later have been considered as part of GamesRadar+'s definitive recommendations.
