LEGO, Beanie Babies, Furby - the 90s was great for amazing toys we all still have fond memories of. But while they're probably gathering dust in your loft, experts have revealed you could be sitting on a goldmine, as some of them are now worth thousands.
Whether they're toys you just couldn't bring yourself to get rid of, or you're thinking of having a major clear-out, now might be the time to go rummaging through those old toy boxes to see if you could be sitting on a small fortune. And with the cost of living crisis leaving the majority of us looking for ways to earn some extra pennies, the prospect of our old childhood favourites being worth cash is certainly appealing.
Leading fandom and online communities platform FandomSpot.com has worked with vintage toy and game expert Peter Jenkinson to reveal a list of the highest value toys, and how much they have risen in price in the past three decades. The research follows a pandemic-driven surge in both online sales and demand for toys and games that fit the needs of at-home entertainment, with the global toys and games market expected to be worth more than £337 billion in 2026.
