A luxury perfume fan has been left absolutely blown away after discovering a 'dupe' for her favourite scent in Home Bargains - and it is over £80 cheaper.
The budget high street retailer's fragrance range has long been a hit with its dedicated fan base, with many hailing them as 'dupes' for designer brands. Jo Malone and Marc Jacobs are just some of the big-name brand's they have imitated over the years.
Now the discounter has taken aim at luxury designer Burberry with its £1.99 Little White Lies fragrance, which left one fan of the designer's perfume absolutely gobsmacked at the similarity.
TikTok user @lozzabee07 recently shared a video comparing the retailer's budget perfume against one of her favourites, Burberry Weekend. She captioned her video: "Home Bargains find!"
In the quick one minute and 42 second clip, which has since been viewed over 51,000 times, she told viewers that she wanted to rate the two perfumes, as she considers the designer bottle "elite".
After trying out, the fan was instantly left gobsmacked at the Home Bargains perfume. She said: "Oh my god, that smells absolute double to that.
"This I would definitely recommend. White Lies from the Home Bargains because you know I am the Home Bargains queen. And it smells just like that, which is the Burberry Weekend.
"I can't even believe it, it smells exactly the same. If you like Burberry Weekend, get the White Lies from Home Bargains and you will not be disappointed."
What makes the discovery even better, is that the 'dupe' is significantly cheaper, as a 100ml bottle of Burberry Weekend is currently priced at £89 from Superdrug and Boots. Meanwhile, shoppers in the comments mentioned how the White Lies fragrance is only £1.99, leading to a whopping £87.01 saving.
As we are all fans of a good 'dupe', the comments section quickly blew up, as other shoppers agreed that they were on their way to purchase the Home Bargains perfume.
One shopper wrote: "Just got mine. Fabulous."
A second agreed: "I've been getting this months its £1.99 smells exactly like burberry i came across it to try now buy a few every time im in xx."
And a third added: "Just got some 1.99 love it."
While a fourth wrote: "End of the day for that price you can't go wrong xxx I love burberry."
