Fulham defender Tim Ream has spoken about how they planned to make life tough for Liverpool.
The Reds were forced to settle for just a point in their first Premier League match of the season. Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage, on a day that could have seen them leave empty handed.
Aleksandar Mitrovic gave the home side the lead in the first half, before substitute Darwin Nunez equalised on his Premier League debut. Mitrovic then put Fulham back in front from the penalty spot, leaving Mohamed Salah to get Liverpool’s second and earn a point in West London.

Ream started at centre-back for Fulham against Liverpool, and has spoke about the tactics they used to make it a difficult afternoon for the Reds. The United States international, and Fulham captain, made a claim about Liverpool’s preparations going into the contest.
“We did exactly what we wanted to, made the game tough, no matter who they are and where they are and the calibre they are, to a man we did that today,” Ream told BT Sport.
“We knew that if we could be aggressive and if we took the game to them they would find it difficult.
“Whether they were prepared for it or not, that’s on them. We knew what our game plan and we did it pretty much perfectly.”
