Jurgen Klopp has again suggested that Liverpool will not be able to strengthen their squad further before the January transfer window closes.
The Reds boss took issue with being asked the Reds' couldn't bring in new players before his side's clash with Brighton, and was again asked about transfers following his side's dismal 3-0 loss on the South Coast.
And reiterating that his answer hasn't changed, he admitted that while he would like to bring in new players still, he explained why it is unlikely to be possible in January.

"It must be a language issue. It must be, that you ask these questions again and again and again," he told reporters. "I answered it already so often. We look outside as well. It's not that we are stubborn and think, 'That's it. We'll go with these boys until 2050." That's not how we see it.
"It's all about what you can do. As well what you want to do, but it's much more important what you can do. Each year is the same. It's a boring game as well from your side. In the transfer window, in each press conference someone tells you you have to ask the question. Whoever comes from your agency asks this question and I cannot change my answers to that.
"If the solutions for us would be out there, available and doable, of course we would bring in players to help. But we have an existing squad as well. We are underperforming, definitely. I know that but I cannot sit here and blame everyone else. The players, it is my responsibility that they perform. It's my first concern, my first job to do.
"Yes, we have limited options but we have players with contracts who are not available. If they would be all, it would be a different situation. They are not.
"If you bring in players, we cannot bring them all on the Premier League list or all on the Champions League list. It's impossible, our squad is not too small. Yes, we have to strengthen. Oh yes, but is the right time to do it? I can't see it because of the situation we are in.
"I think I know exactly how the situation is and that's it pretty much. I can't change the answer every week because the situation doesn't change, even when we lose another game since the last press conference."
Meanwhile, there was better news for Liverpool on the injury front as Klopp confirmed Darwin Nunez is close to a return, even if the FA Cup replay away at Wolves might come too soon for the Uruguayan.
"Progress with all availability," he said. "Darwin is very close but it's Monday and tomorrow's the game. He's very close.
"Milly and Stefan trained fully. Milly was on the bench and Stefan is now available again."
