"That's never going to happen": Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe wants to make his farming sim "infinitely replayable," but only "without the use of AI"

Stardew Valley legend Eric 'ConcernedApe' Barone is still working on his iconic farming sim, a good 10 years on now, with a 1.7 update currently underway as he also grapples with the development of Haunted Chocolatier – and he likely won't stop soon.

Speaking in a recent interview with IGN, ConcernedApe discusses what the game might look like after another decade. "In 10 years, there'll be a few more updates, which just make the game even more what it's supposed to be," he ponders. "I feel like with every update, I'm trying to make Stardew Valley its ultimate form, fully self-actualized. So hopefully in 10 years, Stardew Valley is fully self-actualized."
