A viral pink Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon that YouTuber Trisha Paytas turned down because of its shocking price has been sold this week for $500,000 in cash. The custom vehicle had caught the attention of thousands online, but its price tag left even wealthy car collectors stunned.
Paytas, who goes by @trishlikefish88 on TikTok, posted a video last weekend explaining her experience with the car. The video quickly gained 1.4 million views after her followers begged her to buy the Scottsdale, Arizona vehicle. Her fans knew she loves pink luxury cars and has a history with Mercedes, including owning a pink Rolls-Royce.
This particular G-Wagon stood out because it had beautiful checkered seats and was painted in baby pink. According to Motor 1, Paytas called it “the dream car” and said pink cars make people feel special. She believes a pink car makes you stand out no matter who you are, and people will notice these fun vehicles wherever they go.
The price tag was too wild even for a luxury car lover
Paytas was so interested in the car that she actually contacted the dealership selling it. She admitted she would have spent good money on it if the price made sense. But when she asked about the cost, she immediately regretted it.
She didn’t reveal the exact price, but she gave viewers a comparison to show how crazy it was. This G-Wagon, which had only 300 miles on it, cost much more than her own Rolls-Royce Pink Cullinan that had factory paint and zero miles. She said the difference was “by a lot” and suggested you could probably buy two Mercedes for what they were asking. G-Wagons have become targets for thieves and drama, with some owners dealing with strangers in their vehicles.
One person commented that the asking price was $540,000, and Paytas liked the comment, giving a strong hint about the actual cost. Despite the wild price, Paytas said she wasn’t trying to shame anyone about the cost. She predicted someone very wealthy would eventually buy it, but she warned that custom cars like this don’t hold their value well.
570k!!!!! Way overpriced!!! More than a Ferrari! She explained that she lost money on her previous custom pink G-Wagon, which she believes the dealer repainted to a standard color before selling it again. After seeing the price for this viral car, she said “that girl is not me.” Even when people do buy their dream G-Wagon successfully, things don’t always go smoothly.
The buyer turned out to be influencer Shelby Haas. Haas bought the car this week for $500,000, paying entirely in cash. Another sales influencer, Shelby Sapp, had also thought about buying the pink G-Wagon and posted an Instagram video asking for help with the decision before Haas closed the deal. To put the $500,000 price in perspective, a brand-new 2025 Rolls-Royce Cullinan starts at over $400,000 before any customization.
