Thai stars fall short in Korea Open finals

Thailand's bid to claim two titles at the US$360,000 Korea Open ended in despair on Sunday when Pornpawee Chuchowong and doubles stars Benyapa Aimsaard and Nuntakarn Aimsaard lost in the finals in Suncheon.

Sixth seed Pornpawee fell to Korean second seed An Se-Young 17-21, 18-21 in the women's singles championship match of the World Tour Super 500 event at Palma Stadium.
