Tonight, golf enters a bold new chapter. TGL, the innovative league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, backed by the PGA Tour, debuts after a year-long delay. The inaugural match unfolds at 9 PM ET on ESPN, pitting the New York Golf Club against The Bay Golf Club.
Rickie Fowler, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele lead New York, while Shane Lowry, Wyndham Clark, and Ludvig Åberg anchor The Bay.

TGL Format
In the TGL, matches unfold in just two hours, blending tradition with innovation. Three golfers from each team face off across a 15-hole course split into two formats: a nine-hole “triples” session, where all players compete together, and a six-hole “singles” round for head-to-head duels.
Each hole is worth a single point, adding drama to every stroke. At season’s end, the top four teams advance to a gripping playoff—a single-elimination semifinal leading to a best-of-three final. High stakes, fast action, and golf reimagined await.
