Authorities in Irving, Texas, are currently on the lookout for a homicide suspect following a shooting incident at a Chick-fil-A restaurant that resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The suspect, identified as Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, 37, is believed to have shot two people at the location on North MacArthur Blvd in Irving.
The Irving Police Department was alerted to the situation around 3:50 p.m. on Wednesday and upon arrival, discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds who were pronounced dead at the scene by Irving Fire medics. The suspect had fled before the officers arrived.
While the authorities have not confirmed the exact location of the shooting out of respect for the business, they have stated that the incident appears to have been targeted and not a random act of violence. Police are urging locals to be on the lookout for a silver 1997 Honda vehicle with Texas license plate GVH6205, as the suspect may still be armed.
Residents are advised to contact 911 immediately if they spot the suspect and to avoid the surrounding area as the investigation continues. At this time, there is no further information available regarding the shooting, but authorities are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the suspect.
