Texas Man Arrested For Attempting To Support ISIS In Houston

arrested by police handcuff

A Texas man, aged 28, has been taken into FBI custody for allegedly attempting to support ISIS and planning a terrorist attack on American soil from his apartment in Houston. The man, identified as Anas Said, was reportedly searching for ways to carry out violent acts on behalf of the Islamic State in the Houston area. He has been charged with attempting to provide material support to the terrorist group.

Said was apprehended last week at the apartment complex where he resided, as confirmed by FBI Special Agent in Charge Douglas Williams. During his time in custody, Said confessed to researching methods to execute an attack on local military recruiting centers, offering his home as a safe haven for ISIS operatives, boasting about his willingness to carry out a '9/11-style' attack if he had the necessary resources, and attempting to create ISIS propaganda.
