Catherine Guziejka, 44, a daycare worker in Texas, was arrested after surveillance footage showed her kicking multiple toddlers more than 100 times over the course of four months.
Guziejka's abuse was discovered after a coworker at Punkin' Doodles Day Care in Liden saw a video of her kicking a 2-year-old boy in the back, and she was fired immediately.
Her coworker then contacted the Department of Family and Protective Services and the boy's father about the incident, who alerted the Smith County Sheriff's Office on Oct. 23, KLTV reported.
Law enforcement began reviewing the daycare's footage and found that Guziejka, who joined the center in September 2023, had kicked six 2-year-old toddlers in their lower backs approximately 134 times since July 2024. The children were then captured crying out in pain while gripping the wounded area.
Guziejka was arrested and booked into the Smith County Jail on Oct. 30 on six counts of injuring a child.
Meanwhile, the daycare center was sold and will reopen under a new name and new management in December.
