The Houston Texans are AFC South champions after the team beat the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday and after the Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. It’s Houston’s first division crown since 2019.

The Texans will now host a home playoff game on wildcard weekend against the No. 5-seeded Cleveland Browns. Houston lost at home to Cleveland three weeks ago, though the Texans were without star rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud as well as star rookie pass rusher Will Anderson Jr. and veteran linebacker Blake Cashman.
Houston will likely be almost full-strength in this match-up, with a bit of revenge on the mind after the 36-22 loss less than a month ago.
Stroud and Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans also became the first rookie quarterback-head coach combo to make the postseason since the Indianapolis Colts’ duo of Andrew Luck and Chuck Pagano in 2012.
