The Jacksonville Jaguars ruled out two players and listed three as questionable for a Week 3 home game against the Houston Texans.
On Friday, Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said he was optimistic Josh Allen, Folorunso Fatukasi, and Josh Allen would be able to play Sunday despite their questionable status. He wasn’t as confident about Zay Jones, who suffered a knee injury in Jacksonville’s Week 2 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and was eventually ruled out later in the day.

For the Texans, the injury situation after only two weeks is a little more severe. The team ruled out four players, all of whom are defensive starters

The losses for Houston are primarily in the secondary where Jalen Pitre, Derek Stingley Jr., and Tavierre Thomas will be out of action. While former San Francisco 49ers safety Jimmie Ward is set to make his season debut Sunday, it’ll be a banged up defensive backfield tasked with slowing the Jaguars’ passing offense.
