The Houston Texans will be without three-time Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars after downgrading him from questionable to out Saturday.
On Friday, the Texans ruled out four players all on the defensive side of the football. The Houston offensive line has suffered a wave of injuries, though, with six linemen — including Tytus Howard, Scott Quessenberry, Kenyon Green, and rookie Juice Scruggs — on injured reserve.
Buy Jaguars TicketsWith so many linemen out of action, Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud has faced pressure often through the first two weeks. He’s already been sacked 11 times, the most in the NFL through Week 2.
The Jaguars recorded four sacks in a Week 1 win against the Indianapolis Colts with Josh Allen notching three and Travon Walker getting one. In a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the only sack of the day for the Jacksonville defense came from K’Lavon Chaisson.
No Jaguars player has reached double-digit sacks in a season since Allen had 10.5 as a rookie in 2019.
