Energy technology start-up Clearwell Technology has undertaken a feasibility testing programme for a new tool that could halve the costs and emissions of well decommissioning projects.
Entrepreneurs Bruce Cardno and Paul Ray set up the Aboyne-based business to develop their thermal milling technology, Therm-X-Mill, aiming to eliminate the use of drilling rigs and their associated equipment.
SMART:Scotland grant funding of £84,000 from Scottish Enterprise has helped Clearwell Technology perform a testing programme.
