Are you a true Derry Girl or is your knowledge of the iconic Channel 4 show as dry as Michelle's spiked scones?

If you are keen on testing yourself on how well you know Lisa McGee's acclaimed series, we have put together nine questions to separate the Jenny Joyce know-it-alls from the pack.

If you've binged every series multiple times and know your Ma Marys from your Uncle Colms, then we expect you to score at least seven.

How did you get on - did you prove you are a true Derry Girl (it is a state of mind after all!) or do you need to get revising Erin's diary?

We have plenty of other quizzes such as our Northern Irish sayings and Belfast general knowledge tests to check out if you enjoyed this one.

Here are some other Derry Girls facts to enjoy:

The Stars in their Eyes routine was inspired by Lisa McGee's teenage years

In episode two of the final series, the gang does an iconic performance dressed as the Spice Girls (James included). Fans may not know that this girl power decision was not by chance but actually inspired by a routine creator Lisa McGee performed as a teen.

None of the main cast were actually teenagers when filming

Derry Girls aired in 2015 and the main gang were all said to be aged around 15/16 in the first series. However, the five main actors were passed their school days when they took on the roles - Saoirse Monica Jackson (Erin) was 24 when the show started, Jamie-Lee O'Donnell (Michelle) was 30, Louise Harland (Orla) was 23/24, Nicola Coughlan (Claire) was 30 and Dylandylan Llewellyn (James) was 25.

You can actually get your hands on Erin's diary

If you fancy doing your book report on the deepest darkest secrets of Erin - as Orla did - then no need to worry. Lisa McGee wrote Erin's Diary to accompany the stories brought to life in the hit Channel 4 comedy. The diary takes you through the events of the episodes of season one and two, while adding extras that do not make it to the screen.
