Tesco trip ends in disaster for marketing executive after staff find drugs in misplaced wallet

A talented university drop-out who wrecked his life with heavy drinking and drug use has thrown away the perfect opportunity to turn over a new leaf. Tom Waller, 34, abandoned his social work degree at the University of Hull and was arrested in 2013 for robbery.

After his release from prison, a housing association helped him get a job as a digital marketing executive, but unfortunately he relapsed. Turning to street dealing, Tom "let a lot of people down" but was "essentially a decent person who has gone off the rails badly", Hull Crown Court heard.

On October 21, 2021 Waller of Beverley Road, Hull, and Stephen Pickett, 21, of Guiseley, Leeds admitted to possessing heroin and crack with the intent to supply. Waller also admitted to possessing heroin and a psychoactive substance with intent to supply and possessing cannabis, methadone and £541 cash as criminal property on November 15, 2019, reports Hull Live.
