Tesco sparks price war on shopping essential but is still second most expensive for basket of basics

Tesco has reduced the price of a key shopping essential, with other retailers following suit.

We reported earlier this week how the supermarket had dropped the cost of milk for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

It's reduced the price of all sizes, with a four pint bottle down from £1.65 to £1.55, two pints from £1.30 to £1.25 and a pint now 90p instead of 95p.
