Tesco Clubcard holders have been issued an urgent warning that they have just weeks to cash in on thousands of vouchers before they expire.
Members of the supermarket's loyalty scheme regularly use their vouchers as a way to help reduce their weekly shopping costs during the rising cost of living.
The scheme is free to sign up for and shoppers can earn points each time they shop in store, or online. One point is earned for every £1 spent in store and £2 on petrol, and a minimum of 150 points needs to be earned before you can redeem a voucher worth £1.50.
And if you like to store up their vouchers before using them, then you might want to think about cashing them in before you miss out on your free money.
All vouchers have an expiry date of two years from the date that they were issued. Which means that vouchers that were issued in August 2020 will need to be used up by the end of next month.
The exact date they will expire by is August 31, 2022.
Tesco Clubcard vouchers are issued every three months, in February, May, August and November.
Customers can manage their vouchers on both Tesco’s website or using the app, whether than be trading them in or checking how many you have and when they expire.
As quite a few shoppers vouchers are set to expire by the start of next month, Martin Lewis from MoneySavingExpert.com has reported a hack that can help you keep a hold off your points.
A small purchase on the Tesco Clubcards Rewards site means that you'll get any remaining points credited back to your account, reports The Mirror.
For example, if you had £10 worth of points and you buy a 50p Pizza Express voucher, the remaining £9.50 will go back to your account instead of expiring - renewing for another two years.
