Tesco shoppers are being urged to take up an offer costing £7.99 a month to save up to £40 on big shops. Every month, Clubcard Plus members can get up to 10 per cent off their shopping twice each month, up to the value of £20, and 10 per cent off clothing.
Those taking part can also get double data on Tesco Mobile if you have a contract with them. The deal was highlighted by a shopper on Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group reports Birmingham Live.
Rachel Crocker said: "Those that have a Tesco Clubcard app on their mobile phones, you can sign up for Clubcard plus for a one month free trial. It’ll give you 10% off two big shops per month, 10% off clothing plus other brands like Fox and Ivy, and those with a Tesco mobile you can get extra benefits too like double data and extra Clubcard points.
"If you’re Tesco staff like me those discounts will be added on top of your already existing staff discount. Just before the free trial is over if you don’t wish to continue just unsubscribe which is simple to do on the Clubcard app"
Shoppers came to the post to praise the advice - highlighting the free trial and the upsides for staff. One said: "Thanks for this! Just signed up for the free trial"
And a second shopper added: "Oh wow, didn't realise you could use it on top of staff perks. I thought it was basically paying for staff discounts/extra points."
