Tesco has found itself under fire from angry customers who have slammed their line of Jubilee decorations as "tacky" and a "waste of money".
With the Platinum Jubilee celebrations set to kick off next week, multiple supermarkets are getting shoppers into the spirit with themed merchandise.
Unfortunately, Tesco's own range of homeware items seem to have gone down like a lead balloon with customers who were not impressed.
The Manchester Evening News reports the supermarket chain's patriotic range starts from £3.50 and includes items such as corgi glasses, oven gloves, cake stands and mugs.
And, judging by the reactions, it looks like most shoppers think the range is less royalty and more "wasteful" and "tacky".
Shoppers took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group on Facebook to share their opinions on the supermarket's decorations.
Carol Wang slated: "I wouldn't have them if they were free lol but I hope their a bargain for someone." Gabby Elizabeth said: "Why waste your money on this tat that's only relevant for 5 minutes?"
Marissa Sharpe commented: "Love how they’re all reduced to clear already." Mandy Causier slammed: "Give it a few month and it will be all in the charity shop for pennies." Gemma Ingleman wrote: "Feel like this is a waste of money personally."
Some people absolutely love the Jubilee-themed pieces, though. Heather Walker said: "Oh I better start shopping." Christine Brown Sidney said: "I will have to pop to tesco."
Tesco's Jubilee themed decorations are now available in-stores.
