Tesco shopper fined £35 for visiting supermarket twice in one day vows never to return

A disgruntled customer has vowed never to return to Tesco after being given a parking ticket for visiting the supermarket twice in one day.

Emily Smith visited the Tesco Extra store in Whitfield, Dover, two times in a single day for groceries and fuel, but was incorrectly handed a £35 fine.

It's because the ANPR car parking system didn't register that the 47-year-old had left and returned, and instead thought she had parked at the site for more than 10 hours.
