With a week to go until the big day, from tomorrow morning hundreds of thousands of fresh turkeys will be on sale in Tesco stores across the UK, and for Tesco Clubcard holders prices starting at £4/kg. Tesco Whole Turkeys will be £4/kg with a Clubcard (down from £5/kg) and the price per kg is the same for small, medium or large birds - the most competitive per kilo price amongst major supermarkets.
Tesco Turkey crowns will also be available on Clubcard Prices, at the market-leading price amongst major supermarkets of £8.50/kg (down from £9/kg) across all sizes. Customers shopping for a frozen turkey will continue to find strong supplies available too.
Tesco is also bringing back its Festive 5 price drop on the most popular seasonal vegetables. From tomorrow until Boxing Day, Christmas dinner favourites – potatoes, carrots, sprouts, broccoli and parsnips – are down to just 19p per pack.
That means that if you add a pack of Tesco 12 British Pigs in Blankets into your basket, you can get a Christmas dinner for at least five people for as low as £13.45, or £2.69 a head. Tesco UK & ROI CEO Jason Tarry said: “This year, household budgets are under more pressure than ever and so we are absolutely committed to helping our customers with the cost of the Christmas shop.
“Hundreds of thousands of fresh turkeys will be arriving in store tomorrow morning and we have some unmissable deals, starting from just £4/kg with a Clubcard. Together with our Festive 5 veg, that means you can pick up everything you need for a great value Christmas dinner at Tesco.”
